Whether you are competing in the App to the Future Windows Phone Design Challenge and willing to increase your chances of winning or just trying to improve your existing apps, this is a great opportunity for you to make adjustments based on feedback from pro designers.
You’ll gain insight on how your app can better match Windows Phone UI and Design Language standards. We’ll discuss typeface and color usage, iconography, layout, user flow and more.
The current series of Lightning Design Reviews has concluded. For great input on designing apps for Windows Phone Design Language, see below for videos of past sessions.
Apps or design concepts are reviewed during a one hour webcast, during which an expert designer will provide feedback.
Webcasts are open to those submitting apps/concepts and to visitors who simply wish to learn more by listening to the feedback. These webcast are also recorded and available for offline viewing/listening.
By submitting your apps/concepts, you grant permission to Microsoft and 352 Media Group to publically discuss and broadcast them, but you retain all rights to your apps/concepts.
Live online review sessions will take place each Thursday at 2pm EST beginning December 13, 2012 (excluding December 27). App designs must be submitted by Tuesday at 2pm EST to be considered for that week’s review. Reviews will be held through March 7, 2013.
We are limited to reviewing just 8-12 apps per session. First come, first served. If you are too late for the current week’s session, try submitting again beginning on Friday.
You don’t have to submit an app in order to watch live Lightning Review webinars. Simply register here and you’ll receive an email with a link to the next session.
